Description (In Witness's Own Words): I saw a steady bright white light over Los Angeles. It was about 6 PM and I decided to get out of my apartment to get some air. I grabbed my 20x binoculars and sat on the seat on the landing looking to the west. I was watching the planes coming toward LAX (Los Angeles Airport) about 12 to 15 miles away. This is when I noticed a steady bright white light moving fairly smoothly toward the east. The first sighting was probably about 15 miles away. As I focused my binoculars I didn't notice any wing or strobe lights. As it came closer, at about 8 to 10 miles it changed course and began moving toward the south. I still didn't notice any wing or strobe lights and the light remained steadily clear. There was no change is would have occurred with an airplane.

Investigator's Notes: The witness has made an argument that the light probably wasn't from an airplane. Given that it was dark it is difficult to say what the light would have been. Not enough information is available to say anything definitive about this sighting.
