Description (In Witness's Own Words): On Aug 14th, 2007 at around 2:45pm I heard some dogs barking outside my home. When I went outside to see what the problem was, I saw a black saucer shape object flying toward my subdivsion and I ran inside my home and grab my camera and snapped a few photos of it. It was cool to see it, because it came in straight and then it banked to the east and disappeared over the trees. About a hour and a half later the dogs started barking again and I went out into my back yard and there it was again traveling west in the direction it came from. I snapped a total of 10 pictures, but it was very hard to see it on the screen of a digital camera. The sun was very bright and washed out the screen. It's funny because a couple of hours before the sighting there have been a lot of military activity around flying around Mauldin. I was wondering that maybe that the army helicopters were searching for this object. If this was a secret military aircraft of some sort, it was the most amazing fly over I ever witnessed. It flew in straight and then just banked eastward and came around again and banked west in the direction of the Donaldson Airbase. I thought maybe you would like to see a couple of photos of it to determine what it was I saw. I wish to remain secret and not disclose my identity. I'll keep an eye out in case there are anymore sightings in this area. Take care.

Second Report by Witness (In Response to Investigator Questions): The object did not make any sound whatsoever. It first approached from the southwest and headed east. (This was the 1st sighting.) In the second sighting the object came from the east back toward the west/southwest. (I'm taking the sun in consideration, since it sets in the west.) Each sighting lasted for less than a minute. If you think it a blimp, then I'm ok with it. It was interesting it had no fins of propeller system outside of the body. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but thank you Mr. Puckett for taking the time looking at the photos.

Investigator's Notes: The witness sent a total of 9 photos. After viewing these photos I am stumped on what this object could be. I compared the photo to a conventional blimp (Goodyear blimp.) Obviously the object doesn't resemble a blimp. Apparently the object was moving quite fast as the witness only had it in sight for about one minute for each sighting. It is also interesting to note that the witness was alerted to both sightings by "excited dogs." The witness stated that several military helicopters were in the area a couple of hours before the sighting. The witness stated that the object flew in the direction of Donaldson Air Force Base in the later sighting (4:23 PM). Could this object be a military craft? Was the military testing a new aircraft? If yes, why would they fly a secret aircraft in the daytime over a populated area? Anyone who saw this craft or knows the identity of this craft is urged to write a report.
