Description: I was standing on my backyard deck facing south towards Center City. I observed a large Flat, Black object floating or gliding from West to East Towards the Delaware River which runs North to South in my area. The Object was about the size of a school bus but flat, four or five feet in thickness and almost completely black. It had a wing or fin like protrusion near the middle, but not completely in the middle. It was about 100 yards from me and only about 80 feet up in the sky completely silent. I could see it only because the moonlight was reflecting off it. It was moving slowly at approximately 15 MPH I would guess. I was so surprised it stopped me in my tracks and by the time I ran back in my house to get a camera it was gone. I started to think it might have been an airplane with no lights on, but I have never seen any airplane like this. The nearest airport is approximately 50 miles away and airplanes that fly over, when they do, usually fly north to south leaving or south to north landing. These aircraft never that low. This was not an airplane.

Comments: The witness has drawn an object somewhat resembling a boomerang. The object was only visible due to the moonlight. The weather report shows that skies were partly cloudy, but given that the moon was full some moonlight must have shined between the clouds to illuminate the object. Objects with slow movement, lack of sound, and shape are frequently reported. The identity of these objects remains unknown.
