Description (In Witness's Own Words): At approximately around 3:00 pm, my son a friend and myself went to Carriage Crest Elementary School to launch several Class C rockets. The sky was clear, no clouds with a light wind from the NW. We launched the 1st rocket using a C6-5 engine. The rocket went to an elevation of approx. 700 ft, slightly to the east. Unfortunately the parachute mechanism failed, and the rocket fell and crashed to the ground. However all 3 of us really didn't notice the rocket. We observed 4 round metalic objects traveling from the SE direction moving in a course due north. Each object was keeping a separate distance each other, and all following the same course, same speed. No sound. The 4th object was slighly lower, and it appeared to slow down, then change course slightly from NW move to NE. However no objects appeared to change elevation, just the 4th object alter course slightly. Initially I thought that these could have been ballons that escaped from some birthday party. However they were much further away than a ballon, display no string or attachements, and therefore much larger. Additionally, ballons simply can't move at such a high rate of speed, considering that they were moving against the wind. These objects didn't appear to bounce or wobble as ballons normally do. They didn't rise nor fall. After they disappeared off in the distance to the north, about 45 seconds a 5th object appeared from the SE and traveled in a due north course as well. We live east of Seatac airport, and north of the Auburn airport. We get regular fly bys from commercial jets and private airplanes, as well as an occasional copter. They covered the horizon in about 8 to 10 seconds. They emitted no sound! We could hear another jet off in the distance, and one of the pictures all the while, I continually took pictures, however it was a simple Olympus digital camera, with the zoom extended. Several pictures show several images. Picture019 when enlarged displays 2 objects. Picture 025 displays 1 clearer object. It appears to be a round object with rings around the side? I have 2 other pictures I can forward as well, one with a tree in the foreground, and another with a contrail off in the distance. I am reserving judgement, because I just don't know what we saw. Ballons? Some new gizmo from Boeing?

Investigator's Notes: The two photos sent reveal very small silver colored objects. Enlargements of the photos reveal a bright object with two small dark dots on the bottom and a ring around the sides. The Enlargement does not appear to resemble a regular aircraft. The objects must have been moving rapidly given that they covered the sky in 8 to 10 seconds. The witness correctly stated that the objects couldn't be balloons because they would have been moving into the wind. The objects moved towards the north and the winds were from the east in the low levels and from the northeast up to about 4,500 meters (nearly 15,000 feet). These wind measurements were taken by an atmospheric profiler in the Seattle area. Given the facts the objects in these photos are unidentified.
