Sighting Reports 2007 Six Witness Slow Moving Bright Object In Evening Sky
Date of Sighting: September 2, 2007 Description (In Witness's Own Words): It was September 2, 2007 in the evening at around 6:30 pm on the Lake of San Carlos off the Indian Reservation in Arizona. There were six of us fishing. One anounced "Tell me that that's not a Planet!!! We all looked and to the West at a far distance, indeed it looked like a large planet (which we knew it was not) and to myself I thought it looked like a perfect minature full moon. After watching for about 20 to 30 minutes, this object came closer by moving directly east at a steady slow pace. It still did not approach the lake but was close. I began to think it was a weather balloon. Within the next 45 minutes this object moved at an extreme speed West and upward till it was out of sight. Now, how fast can a weather balloon travel? Certainly not at this speed. Did anyone else observe this? Investigator's Notes: I don't believe that the witnesses sighted a weather balloon because of the time and the movement characteristics. It is unlikely that a weather balloon would have been visible for 45 minutes. Two other sightings of a similar object (bright light) occurred in Arizona on the same date. The first sighting occurred about 90 minutes earlier from a Walmart Store parking lot at Show Low, Arizona. (Photos were taken.) Click here to read about this sighting. The second sighting occurred was seen and photos were also taken about 10 minutes after the San Carlos Lake sighting east of Winslow, Arizona. Click here to read about this sighting. These sightings could be of the same object. |
