Description (In Witness's Own Words): It was about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. I was on my front porch talking to my mother on the phone and watching a patrol officer walk up to a neighbor’s house for some reason. I saw a fairly bright light appearing from behind a tree from the northwesterly direction followed by a smaller light that was of the same bluish color. These two lights were about ½ city block apart and about 45 degrees from each other, moving simultaneously. These lights were about 200 yards or so above the treetops and moving about 40 mph and there was absolutely no sound coming from these lights. I called out to the police officer, “look at those lights in the sky, do you see them, have you ever seen anything like that?” He commented back, “No I haven’t.” My mother was hearing this whole issue over the phone. Then I went to the street and watched it seemingly float southeast. What ever it was, it was big and dark, no sound and definitely to slow for a plane, could have been a blimp, but there was no sound. I went inside the house grabbed the cam, my daughter and I drove in the general direction out of town, hunted for 45 minutes, but did not see anything. My mother called me, while we were searching, to tell me she had called the police station, and had actually talked to the officer, and he said, he had seen it and did not know what it was either. Wright Air-force base is 50 miles in that direction, could it have been some sort of spy plane or was it something else?

Investigator's Notes: The witness appears to be knowledgeable about aircraft and has provided an explicit report. The report is strengthened by the fact that police officers apparently also saw the lights (object). Dayton, Ohio is about 25 miles south of Sidney. Per witness statement Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is in the Dayton area. Given this scenario suggests that the craft could have been military although the apparent silent slow flight (40 MPH) suggests that it is not a known aircraft.
