Description: I was smoking a cigarette outside in south Seattle. I looked up to a clear sky to what appeared to be a camera flash that hit me with extreme bright light. I called for my wife to watch what would normally be a satellite as it appeared after the brightness diminished. Nothing was in the southern sky at that stage less than 1 minute later. Normally you would still see the satellite traveling. Nothing was there. This is my first sighting.

Comments: This sighting experience does sound strange. The witness has not responded to questions. My initial impression was that the witness sighted an iridium flare satellite, but given that the sighting was less than one minute would exclude this possibility.
