Description: Today I was driving down Highway 295 South in new Jersey. At about exit 32 I noticed 3 black objects in the sky. At first I thought they were hawks hovering, but as I got close I realized that they were large and shaped like hexagons. As I got to exit 28 the objects were right above me and they moved into formation of a perfect triangle. They were black with what looked like copper bottoms. There were no lights on them at all and they remained stationary in the air. They could not be airplanes as they were way too low in the sky and there were no lights. They could not be helicopters as there was no sound and no lights. I almost had an accident because I was staring out the window looking at this. I looked at the other cars around me and no one seemed to notice. There also was nothing on the nightly news about it. It was nothing like I had ever seen before. I did not stop as it was rush hour and I did not take any photos unfortunately. I know it sounds crazy. If anyone else has reported this, please let me know as I would like to know if someone else saw it. Let me know if there is a reasonable explanation for it.

Second Report by Witness in Response to Investigator Questions:

I will try to answer your questions as best I can.

  1. The objects were between 5 mile stretch of 295, so I observed for about 10 minutes.  When I first noticed them I first though they were birds as one of two that were hovering above the third was swinging back and forth like a bird riding an air pocket, but the one on the bottom never moved. That is what really caught my attention as it was fixed in the air so it could not be a bird.
  2. As I approached exit 28 they were above the tree line on the left hand side of my car. That is when they fixed into a triangle formation and did not move.  I drove past it as it was rush hour and could not stop my car (too dangerous to pull over due to volume of cars). Since they were fixed in their location when I drove past them I lost sight. I could kind of see them out of my rear view mirror, but since it was almost dark at this point and they had no lights I had trouble locating them in the rear view. Highway 295 splits to the right to merge onto 42 south so I could not longer see them.
  3. I am not good at computer stuff, but I was online last night for a few hours and I attached a picture.  The object to the left is exactly what I say, however they were not horizontal they were vertical compared to this picture because that brown side was on the bottom.  The other two in picture look nothing like I saw as there were no lights on this object, if there were lights they were not on. (Witness download a sketch that looked somewhat like objects.)
  4. The weather was perfect with very few clouds anywhere. Where I saw them there were no clouds at all. It was cool with temperatures in the low 50’s. It was not windy.
  5. Your drawing (see above) is much more like what I saw!

Comments: No, I don't have a reasonable explanation for what the witness saw. The witness probably didn't get a good lengthy look at the objects because she was preoccupied with driving in rush hour traffic. Anyone else in this area who have seen these objects is urged to file a report. Photos and videos are welcomed.
