Duration of Sighting: 70 Minutes
Location of Sighting: Bradford West Yorkshire, England
Latitude: 53.79 Degrees North
Longitude: 1.75 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: (At Leeds Airport About 30 MI SE of Witness Location.) Partly Cloudy Skies. Few Clouds Observed at 3,800 Feet. Visibility Was 6 Miles. Winds Were From the West at 14 MPH.

Description: In a partly cloudy sky, but also quite light at 11.50 last night I noticed that small areas of cloud were lighting up what would be 1 or 2 areas on the same level slowly drifted apart and then a bright light which I would describe as yellowish kept slightly emerging from the clouds. Sometimes it was 1 large light and at other times I could clearly see 3-5 lights all together as if they were attached. Sometimes where the cloud was much lighter it appeared very dark in the middle, but had no definite shape. At the same time no other part of the sky was so dark. The clouds in the sky were moving from right to left, but this object started to the left and gradually moved to the right and then back again. I watched this going on for 70 minutes and tried to alert my husband who is very skeptical and he noticed the bright light appearing at least 5 times. He could offer no explanation and went back to sleep. We do get lots of planes overhead from Leeds Bradford airport, but funnily enough I saw or heard none last night. I do know what planes and helicopters look like and this was neither. A couple of times a lower cloud had a very bright outline and another cloud above it had a bright smudgy look. I am sorry, but I did not take any pictures or film it because I was reluctant to look away in case it went away. I am not used to computing so I cannot do a drawing either.

Comments: The witness has described lights that did not appear to be drifting with the wind and had exhibited somewhat erratic movement. She makes a case that the lights were not helicopters or air planes. Given the explanation I don't know what was sighted. Perhaps with more data and witnesses an explanation could be rendered.
