Date Sighting Reported: March 14, 2008
Duration of Sighting: Witness Says Several Animation Frames Showed Object
Location of Sighting: WBTV Station - Charlotte, NC (Charlotte is in S-Central NC)
Latitude: 35.23 Degrees North
Longitude: 80.87 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: None. Images Were Later Viewed by Witness

Description: A bright luminescent rectangular shape was caught on a live weather bug camera from the WBTV Station in Charlotte, North Carolina. The camera is pointed towards town. (The direction is towards the east.) The object partially obscures the rightmost building. There is an oval shaped haze surrounding the inner glowing cube. There is a ghost cube to the right and slightly higher. This is one of the last of six time lapse frames taken on March 13, 2008 at 12:00 EDT. The earliest image showing the bright shape was taken on March 13, 2008 at 11:40 AM. Six images showing the bright shape showed up on the "today" time lapse. I should have acted on each of these at the moment instead of a day later. You cannot retrieve previous "today" animations as far as I know.

Additional Information Provided by Witness: The camera was pointed in an easterly direction. I have sent you an additional image recorded at 11:40 AM. This image shows the same object. The image was gone at the 1:05 PM frame on March 13. I am amazed that no one could see this as there was traffic moving along on all freeways around this unusual display.

Comments: The last image showing the object was taken at 1:05 PM. Only the noon images are stored beyond one day. A viewing of the 30 day sequence of noon images did not reveal anything unusual. The witness subsequently was able to obtain the sequence of photos from 9:00 AM to 1:05 PM. The sequence of these images all show a hexagon (six sided polygon) in one spot. The hexagon is white and opaque. The hexagon is much more obvious in the later frames. Given this new information I believe that the hexagon is not a real object and is a spot on the camera lens. My reasoning for this conclusion is that the hexagon does not move in any of the frames.
