Time of Sighting: 10 AM MST
Date Sighting Reported: September 29, 2008
Duration of Sighting: Object Only Discovered in Photo
Location of Sighting: Eloy, Arizona (See Map)
Latitude: 32.75 Degrees North
Longitude: 111.6 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Object Not Seen.
Weather: Skies Were Clear. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were Light & Variable.

Description: I was not aware of object in sky when the photo was taken. The photo was taken off of Sunshine Blvd., south of I-10, and south of Eloy, AZ. The terrain is flat. Skies were clear that day in August. If you debunk the photo, please let me know. I am very curious.

Second Report Received From Photographer: I was going south, about 10 am. the photo was shot towards the west. I am an obsessive compulsive photo freak, shooting digital and in volume from which I make slide shows. I was outside the car when I took the photo. The object is not a balloon, considering I shot 300-500 photos that day and the object is only in one frame. If it was a balloon, I would have seen it and chased it. It was just in the one frame. When I road shoot, I stop, go a quarter of a mile, stop, go 100 yards, stop and go one mile then. I probably maybe a few dozen times over 5 miles. Hope that helps.

Comments: This photo is intriguing and it is strange that the witness did not see the object. The possibility exists that the object may have only been visible in the "near infrared." The camera may have been sensitive in this wave length. I don't believe that the object is a bird or any debris suspended in the air (e.g. plastic bag). The weather report above shows that wind speeds were very light. The photo was taken with a Canon Power shot S5 digital camera. This camera has a maximum resolution of 8 mega-pixels.
