Description: I was taking weather reports and noticed a star like object next to the full moon. The approximate time was 21:00 hours. The star was located at 8:30 relative to the moon. I have never noticed a star that bright or that close to the moon. All during the night at different times I kept a periodic check on this star with the moon's position. This star stayed in the same position, but continued to orbit the moon. At last sighting at approximately at 03:30 hours the next morning this star was on the opposite side of the moon at position approximately 4:00. This was not a star. Stars do not orbit the moon and do not stay in the same relative position with the moon. Whatever it was, it was very large to be able to see it with the naked eye.
Comments: The witness has spotted the planet Jupiter which was at nearly the same direction as the moon throughout the time period. |
