Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Skies Were Clear. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were Calm.

Description: The witnesses were watching fireworks. Shortly after the fireworks terminated three orange lights were seen coming from the southwest. All of the witnesses thought that the lights were quite unusual with respect to erratic movement. The lights were very bright and took off in separate directions at "lightning" speed. The witness stated that: "we were left speechless."

Comments: This is a significant sighting given the number of independent witnesses at 5 locations (2 locations in Garden Grove, one location in Dana Point, one location in La Puente, and one location in La Mirada). The photos don't reveal much detail, but combined with witness reports they do show something unusual in the sky. It is not likely that the lights were fireworks, but the witnesses probably noticed the lights because they had been watching the skies for fireworks. The photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot SD450 digital camera.
