Weather: Clear Skies. Stars Visible. (Per Witness Observation.)

Description: We received a call while the witnesses were still observing the light. Each witness stated that the light was very bright. The light exhibited a red and green flickering. The light was stationary. The witnesses must have been concerned with the sighting because they reporting their sighting to the Greeley Police Department before reporting to UFOs Northwest.

Comments: The only planet in the sky at the position reported by the witnesses was Saturn. Saturn is not normally very bright. However, planets and stars can look larger and show various colors when low on the horizon. This effect is due to atmospheric attenuation. Therefore the most likely explanation for this sighting was the planet Saturn.
