Diagram of Sighting Drawn by Witness.

Date of Sighting: March 24, 2008
Time of Sighting: 7:45 to 7:50 PM Local Time
Date Sighting Reported: March 26, 2008
Duration of Sighting: 15 to 20 Seconds
Location of Sighting: Hagatna, Guam
Latitude: 13.47 Degrees North
Longitude: 144.75 Degrees East
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: A Few Clouds Were Observed at 2,000 Feet. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were From the ENE at 8 MPH.

Description: Saw a single flash of white light high in the sky, about two times the size of your average star. Seconds later, after observing the night sky, to the left of where the flash was spotted was a dim red star-like light moving towards the left side of the sky(similar to aircraft movement). It was moving in an almost straight line. It was high up in the sky, to almost where the stars are. About 10-15 seconds later, the light faded. My girlfriend and I witnessed this sighting while looking for planets. the direction of this sighting was on the opposite side of the "3 bright stars" in a line. There was no moon that night until later, perhaps 9pm.I have to rule out the possibilities of this light object to be a plane or a shooting star. It was way too high for a plane and was moving too slow for a shooting star. It also did not have a tail following behind it. It wasn't blinking either. I can only think of it as either a satellite or a true u.f.o. The fact that it was way high in the night sky, perhaps out of Earth's atmosphere rules out a lot of possibilities except for a satellite.

Comments: The witnesses provided a nice illustration of their sighting. I don't see anything unusual about this sighting in that no unusual aerial maneuvers were observed. The light did change colors, but color change could probably be explained if more data were available.
