Weather: Skies Were Clear. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were Calm.

Description: We saw an object as big as a helicopter. It was moving from west to north slowly. It was red/orange like fire color was moving right to left slowly then all of a sudden it began to move west, but was actually shooting out into space. Then it got smaller and smaller and finally it disappeared.

Second Report: My wife and I were looking at fireworks then the fireworks stopped and I happened to look around to see if I could see some more fireworks. When I looked towards the southwest sky and saw what looked like a fireball. I told my wife and we both were looking at this thing with a rectangular shape. Initially we thought that it was a firework, but this object began to move slowly to the north. Then it stopped, went back to the south, and stopped again and moved towards the west. It was hovering above us for about 5 minutes then it moved south a bit. Then we saw this thing go straight up into space because it began to get smaller and smaller. Finally it disappeared. I believe someone else had to have seen this object because it was about 10:15 pm to 10:25 PM on July 4, 2008 and everyone was outside popping their fireworks.

Comments: The witness is describing something with an erratic movement. The type of movement certainly excludes meteors, space debris, or other conventional objects. Several other similar sightings occurred in closeby areas. (See map above.)
