Date of Sighting: January 7, 2008
Time of Sighting: 2 AM EST
Date Sighting Reported: January 8, 2008
Duration of Sighting: Unknown
Location of Sighting: Logan, West Virginia (Western West Virgina)
Latitude: 37.85 Degrees North
Longitude: 82 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: One
Weather: Few Clouds Were at 3,900 Feet and Scattered Clouds Were Observed at 5,000 Feet. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were From the South at 4 MPH.

Description: I saw and took pictures of the exact same thing at 2:00 a.m. in West Virginia last night. 1-7-08. The light would slowly move back and fourth. It would get really bright then disappear and reappear around the same location. It really never moved long distances. I first thought the light was a star. The light was mostly orange, but would flicker white. I took video, but I was using a kodak camera that also takes video. The video might not be that great. I had to go to work and haven't checked it out yet.

Comments: I am not sure yet what photo on this website that the witness is comparing his sighting. The witness said that he will be sending the photo and video mentioned in his report. If received, this information will be posted. Given the information supplied I am not sure what the witness sighted. Given that the light remained in the same area of the sky could mean that it was a celestial body (bright planet or star). The appearance and disappearance could be due to movement of the clouds. It was not likely a satellite or space station because the light would have moved across the sky in a few minutes.
