Weather: Clear Skies. Visibility Was 7 Miles. Winds Were From the West at 10 MPH.

Description: I saw a large craft with red, blue and gold lights. The object made no sound. It just sat in the sky and then began moving erratically in all directions.

Comments: The witness did not say much about what he photographed. Satellite photos reveal that the photo was taken in a rural area. I have written to the witness to obtain more information. The photo that he sent appears to be authentic and not tampered with. I brightened the photo in Photoshop which revealed the gas tank and tree in the background. It appears that the lights (object) was moving when the photo was taken. The "streaking" is probably not due to camera movement because the tree appears to be in focus. The photo also reveals a red light which has no streaking. A Kodak Easyshare CX7310 digital camera was used to take the photo.

Comment Received From Reader: The red dot in the photo appears to be what is called a "hot pixel." These occur in long exposure times on digital sensors (usually over 15 seconds) and is an artifact of the digital sensor.

UFOS Northwest Comment on Above Reader Comment: According to the EXIF information stored in computer file generated by the camera, the exposure time was only 1/2 second. If this is true, then the "red pixel" effect would not be produced.
