Description: I was driving down I-95 on March 17th around 7-7:30 in North Carolina going south around mile marker 140. I noticed a strange object in the sky and thought "what a strange cloud." The closer I got I realized that it was not a cloud it was something "floating" for lack of better terms and going in a circular motion. When I got closer I saw that it had a red light on it and it was shaped like a bullet flat on one end and round on the other. It was just floating there and it was huge. I drove directly under it. It was about 40-50 yards up and Ii have never seen anything like it. It was charcoal and navy blue in color and just strange.

Comments: The witness has described a very strange object. Given that she saw it for 10 minutes and some daylight (sunset was at 7:20 PM) was present suggests that she should have been able to provide a good description. I cannot explain the identity of this object. One would think that many others probably saw the object.
