Description: I was watching the lunar eclipse at about 9.15 PM Central Time here in Oak Lawn Illinois, in the direction facing east somewhat southerly or at the 1:00 o'clock position. All of a sudden I saw this tiny reddish blinking light coming from the south going north at a tremendous speed. I immediately called my daughter and grandson to take a look. They asked me if it was a plane, but to me it did not seem so because it traveled from so far south to so far north in matter of seconds! Did anyone watching this event notice it? I know a plane no matter how high it flies, does not go that fast because I live not far away from Midway Airport and I know how long it takes them to get from one distance to another. I know that whatever it was, it was going FAST! It moved in a straight line! Please inform me if you learn anything further. I know I am not the only one to have watch this.

Comments: Here is another sighting that happened because someone was outside looking at the sky (eclipse). The witness seems to be familiar with flights of conventional aircraft considering that she lives near Chicago Midway Airport. Given the description I don't have an explanation for what was sighted. Certainly many must have seen the streaking red light considering that many were watching the lunar eclipse.
