Description: I have been reluctant to report this sighting with the feeling that it being my second sighting within a 3 day period would make them seem less credible. My original sighting was on March 2nd, 2008 from Oceanside New York. I have reported my first and second sighting to MUFON as well. On the third night after my initial sighting (first clear night after) I came up from the basement after doing laundry. I observed the sky and kind of whispered to myself: "Come on guys," show yourselves now if you’re really there”. A few minutes later to my amazement I observed 2 whitish lights, one about 3 lengths in front of the other traveling at a high rate of speed. I heard no sound again and the lights moved from North to South, but closer to the East side of my yard than my initial sighting. A few minutes later the same thing happened again. At this point I’m thinking that this must be something man made and projected somehow. However, there were no shafts of light leading to it and there was nothing for a projection to reflect off of. The lights seemed to be much lower than my initial sighting and were much different in nature. A few minutes later I was about to go inside when I observed 5 white lights in a triangular formation heading from east to west at a high rate of speed and again, silent. At this point I was completely bedazzled.

Second Report by Witness: My apologies for the missing information. My sighting included 3 separate observations over the course of 10 minutes. Each one of the 3 observations lasted for approximately 4 seconds each while they transversed the sky ultimately terminating at the horizon. The first 2 observations with the 2 white lights were the size of a quarter held at arm's length. The last of the three (triangular formation of 5 lights) were the size of dimes held at arm's length. I have sent an illustration which merely demonstrates the 2 different formations. Of course the lines were not as sharp.

Comments: This is the second sighting received from this witness. His observations are detailed and quite explicit. He lives close to airports and so is familiar with flights of regular aircraft. The source of the lights that he sighted is unknown. The lights were quite large as the witness stated that the two white lights were the size of a quarter held at arm's length and the five lights in the triangular formation were the size of a dime held at arm's length. Triangular formations of lights are probably the most common report that UFOs Northwest receives.
