Description: I saw three round lights in triangular formation in the northern sky. It caught my eye as I was driving home from a movie. What caught my eye was the brightness. It appeared suddenly, drifted up - like fireworks - and burned really bright and white. Then as it drifted downward it disappeared. The moon was out. I looked for smoke trails and saw nothing. I could not ascertain distance. It looked big, but far away. To compare, there was an airplane heading east more to the right in my field of vision (I was staring north) and these lights were way bigger than that, but the "flash" only lasted two blinks of an eye because by the time I got my wife to look (she was in the passenger seat) the light and any indication that anything may have been there was gone. No camera was available. The lights burned bright white like tungsten and then they were gone.

Comments: The witness only saw the lights for a few seconds, but provided a good description. His sighting fits under the "triangular object" category. These flying triangles have been sighted for over two decades. Although some of these craft are probably misidentifications of conventional airplanes many are probably not.
