Description: My husband and I were in our car when we spotted an unusual craft in the sky near our home. It did not move. It just hovered in one spot for a few seconds. We stopped at an intersection to watch and listen for noise. We could not determine the altitude, but the craft was large enough and low enough to view. We were looking from North to the South and when the craft darted over us. It headed North. The shape seemed to be similar to the stealth plane, a triangular shape, and black with large lights on the underside toward the front. One light was under the pointed nose with two or three lights on both sides, angled with the shape of the plane. I believe that the craft had lights on the upper side as well because of the soft light above it. The lights were not spotlights. (They did not cast a beam.) The craft made no noise when it darted over us. There was no traffic in the area or any other noise. This is very unusual because of the proximity to MCAS (Marine Corps Air Station) Miramar. I sent an email to a local news station within a half an hour asking if anyone else reported a sighting and never received a reply. The 11:00 P.M. news that evening reported that Lindbergh airport had been closed for a period of time due to fog. Odd, because the night was clear. There was no fog unless it was an anomaly. We live about 25 miles from Lindbergh.

Comments: I believe that the witnesses saw the triangular craft. Given that the craft was silent, hovered, and then rapidly moved means that it was not a conventional aircraft. These characteristics fit the attributes of the many reports of triangular and boomerang shaped craft that UFOs Northwest receives. However, the San Diego airport had a low cloud ceiling and low visibility in fog on the night of the sighting. Therefore the witness conjecture that the airport was closed for another reason is incorrect.
