Description: On 5/7/08 around 10:00 pm a friend and I were leaving our workshop for the night. When my friend walked out the front door he noticed a bright red light in the sky directly in front of him about 15 degrees above the horizon. He went to the van and told me about it. I watched it through the binoculars first then he watched it through the binoculars for a little while. It was hovering over the SF Bay just south of the Bay Bridge between San Francisco and Oakland. Then it began moving very slowly from our left towards our right. My friend went into the building, got our video camera and gave it to mel. I was able to get about 2 1/2 minutes of video. Although it was bright red when we looked at it with our eyes it didn't look as red on the video. The intensity of light remained consistently bright the entire sighting. That can be seen in the video. No sound could be heard. We watched it as it slowly moved over our heads and then away from us. Just then a plane flew close by and the light blinked out. A second later the light reappeared but was much dimmer. Then it blinked out again. A second later it reappeared again, but dimmer than the last time. Then it blinked out again and that was the last time we saw it. The whole sighting lasted over 15 minutes yet the bright light only traveled a short distance from near the Bay Bridge to where it blinked out.s
Comments: I am not sure what the witnesses sighted. I have requested the video footage, but the witnesses are having difficulty transferring to a readable format. Any updates will be posted. |
