Weather: Clear Skies. Visibility 10 Miles. Winds Were From the Northeast at 12 MPH.

Description: At approximately 5:00 AM on May 28, 2008 in the southwestern sky I observed strange twinkling lights. The lights appeared to be in triangular formation, were clustered tightly and stationary. They were faint blue, red and yellow alternating with white being prominent. I observed for roughly a half an hour. The object (lights) remained stationary the entire time. I was not able to determine size. The lights appeared very distant.

Additional Information Provided by Witness: The witness stated that he lost sight of the lights after sunrise.

Comments: The witness's drawing doesn't exactly replicate his report, but the drawing does reflect the colors that were reported. (Drawings are always appreciated even if they are not perfect.) Many times stationary objects on a clear sky can be explained as celestial phenomena. There were no bright planets in the area where the lights were observed. I don't believe that the witness's observations were due to celestial objects. However, given that the witness lost sight of the lights after sunrise suggests that the lights could have been celestial objects.
