Weather: Broken Clouds Were at 25,000 Feet. Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were From East-Southeast at 4 MPH.
Description: The witness called and left a voice-mail message. She stated that she saw an airborne silver ball flying quite high in the sky. The object was sighted to the South-Southwest. She said that the object moved towards the west and then back to its original location.
Additional Information Provided by Witness: In a follow-up phone call the witness stated that the object was close to a commercial airliner. The object was quite small, but the witness said that she could determine that it was shaped like a ball and of silver color. The object eventually just disappeared.
Comments: The explanation for this sighting cannot be made given available information. Sometimes conventional aircraft flying at a long distance from the observer can appear as a silver ball. However, given that the object returned to its original location makes a conventional aircraft a less likely explanation. |
