Family Sees Hovering White Object in Daytime Sky

Date of Sighting: July 17, 2008
Time of Sighting: 7:15 PM PDT
Date Sighting Reported: July 17, 2008
Duration of Sighting: About 5 Minutes
Location of Sighting: Woodinville, Washington (About 15 MI NE of Downtown Seattle)
Latitude: 47.76 Degrees North
Longitude: 122.14 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Three
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Skies Were Clear. (Witness Stated That a Few Clouds Were Present.) Visibility Was 10 Miles. Winds Were From the West at 5 MPH.

Description: Our family was sitting in the hot tub when my dad noticed a very very small white object way up in the sky. He pointed it out to me and my brother. We looked at it and it didn't move an inch for about three minutes and then it slowly moved to the Southeast. We talked about it for a while and my dad said "I work at Boeing and as far as I know,no manmade thing can be that high and not move at all". It also appeared to be moving shapes or spinning.

Additional Report by Witness (Father): Hi, This is the dad that was with my kids. Our sighting lasted about 5 minutes or so and like my daughter said the object was stationary for that time. The weather was mostly clear and sunny with the occasional clouds drifting by "those streaky kind". the object was way higher than the clouds or any commercial aircraft might fly making it very small to the eye, but definitely big enough to notice. After the five minutes it just started moving southeast to the horizon until we lost visual. I had to be honest with my kids: I could only discuss the possibility of this being something other than an balloon or aircraft. Thanks.

Comments: The witness described an aerial object with non-conventional flying characteristics. The witness's father is probably justified in making that deduction considering his background.
