The witness stated that he was on a flight from Atlanta, Georgia to New York City. He was seated on the right hand side of the aircraft in the middle row. Skies were cloudy and the aircraft was flying above the clouds. He first thought that he saw a water body, but realized that he was looking at an object because the cloud deck was solid. The water body shape changed to a disk shape that reflected the sunlight. The passenger along the window thought it was another airplane. The object then passed through a cloud (the cloud deck was likely "ragged.") The witness said that he lost sight of the craft after it penetrated the clouds, but he noticed a "perfect" clear circular hole in the cloud deck where the craft disappeared.

Note: This is an unusual sighting. The apparent "cloaking" and resultant "hole in the clouds" put this sighting in the "unidentified" category. However, it is interesting to note that other passengers did not consider this sighting as anything unusual.
