Description: I read on your site about the erratic moving lights in Canada, sighted on 15 November. My boyfriend and I saw similar lights in Ballito, South Africa on New Years eve. What we first believed could just be fireworks. We decided that the lights were moving too slow for fireworks. The small lights moved out from behind the building in very slow movements, about 7 to 8 after each other. We don’t know if it is something to get excited about, but reading your website we found it very interesting. The photos are attached. The first one – DSC 02036 shows the lights nice and clear. The second photo does not. It just shows squiggles, but it shows the building from behind which it came.

Note: The second photo is not shown as it is quite blurry. This is probably due to camera movement. The source of the lights is probably not fireworks, but the lights could be Chinese lanterns. However, this identification is speculative.
