Location of Sighting: Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania (SW Pennsylvania About 25 MI SE of Pittsburgh)

Description: I am located in the northeast, but I found your site first so I thought I would look around. I saw that you took reports so here is mine. At 2 AM this morning I stepped out on my front porch. My eyes were immediately drawn to a bright white light in the sky. I watched it slowly move towards my direction in an very strange zigzag pattern. Occasionally it would speed up. Then it stopped. I watched it hover for about twenty minutes. It made jerky movements back and forth and side to side sometimes what seemed to be in sort of a circle. There were no colored or flashing lights. It was just a constant very, very bright white light. I finally gave up and went back in the house.

Note: More information is needed regarding this sighting. The witness could have been viewing a bright celestial object (planet, star) and the apparent erratic motion could be due to an optical illusion call "autokinesis."
