Date of Sighting: August 24, 2009 (Similar Sighting Occurred on August 25 at 11 PM)

Description: I heard my dogs barking so I went outside to investigate. As I looked out my door I saw at least four flashing lights moving in unison across the sky. The lights were only as big as a star in the sky, but were moving very quickly across the sky. At first I thought it was maybe an airplane, but the lights were way too far apart to be any aircraft I have ever seen. Then the lights went across the sky at a very high rate of speed. As the lights moved quickly across the sky my dogs went running after. The entire viewing was approximately five minutes long before the lights went (in an instant) farther up into the sky until I could no longer see them.

Additional Information Provided by Witness: I had a similar sighting the next day on August 25th at about the same time. This time it started with the lights together, then after about 5 minutes the lights split up and started moving irreducibly all over the place. Then after about 10 minutes of that the lights were stationary and were flashing in a way like they were communicating with each other. Then a few minutes later the lights got back in the perfect formation they started in, made another lap around the sky and disappeared way up into the sky. I also forgot to mention that when the object was moving through the sky it covered up several stars, that is what tipped me off that it was a VERY LARGE object.

Note: Animal excitement is a noteworthy attribute of this sighting. Excitement of animals is frequently reported in the vicinity of UFO activity. Several sightings were reported over Ohio on August 24 and 25. There also was considerable reports of bright meteors in Eastern U.S. on August 24. (The above sighting doesn't fit the description of meteors.)
