Sighting Reports 2009 Silver Balls Seen Moving Along Horizon in Night Sky
Date of Sighting: September 25, 2009
Time of Sighting: 9:15 PM CDT
Location of Sighting: Lubbock, Texas (Northwestern Texas)
Description: I saw a silver ball traveling from south to north along the horizon. Then about 10 minutes later I saw another one traveling from north to south horizontal. While I was on the phone about 9:20 PM my girl friend came outside and we both saw one appear from a star and travel towards the brightest star in the sky. Shortly seconds after that there was another one that was on the same path. Then they both disappeared
Note: It is not clear how the witnesses could determine the color of the objects in a night sky. Perhaps the balls were large and emitted "grayish" light? It also possible that the objects (lights) could have been satellites. Many satellites are visible for a few hours after sunset and a few hours before sunrise. Some of these satellites are not recorded on regular satellite time tables because they are dimmer. I have taken videos off of my doorstep and counted up to 12 satellites in a 90 minute video. Many of these trajectories have north-south or south-north movement.
