Location of Sighting: Monroe, Louisiana (Northeast Louisiana)

Description: I saw two bright objects. They had the size and brightness of Venus. They were in the south sky. I stared at them for two to three minutes. I thought that they might be jets, but no movement was observed for several minutes. I turned away for 2 seconds and looked back and they were gone. Clearly they weren't jets as there was no movement.

Note: Skies were clear and no bright planets were visible in the area of the sky and time that the witness saw the lights. One relatively bright star was visible low on the southerly horizon, but still not nearly as bright as Venus (per witness observation). Therefore given available information I have no explanation for this sighting.
