Sighting Reports 2009

Several See Silver Triangular Shaped Object in Daytime Sky

Date of Sighting: February 1, 2009
Time of Sighting: 4 to 4:30 PM CST
Location of Sighting: Weatherford, Texas (About 15 MI WNW of Ft. Worth)

Description: We saw a shiny, silver-like object far up in the sky. This object had three reflective areas that were close together, making a triangle. It was nearly directly overhead between us and the bottom of the moon when we first started watching. We saw it from the south end of Lake weatherford, Texas around 4 to 4:30 PM. Several witnessed the sighting. I checked the International Space Station (ISS) web site, but what we saw was shaped differently than what I found on the NASA site. It was moving in a southeasterly direction. We watched for about ten minutes. It never made any direction changes or speed changes. This is why I suspected a satellite or the ISS.

Note: The ISS was visible on February 1, 2009 in the area of sighting, but much later (7:06 to 7:08 PM CST). Perhaps the object was a conventional aircraft, but the witnesses felt that it was unusual. However, no unusual aerial movements were noted.
