Location of Sighting: Wilmington, Ohio (SW Ohio About 40 MI NE of Cincinnati)

Description: While traveling south on US 68 just north of Wilmington, Ohio, we saw to the direct east of the roadway a series of lights appear sequentially in the sky. There were at least four and as many as six lights. They appeared in a horizontally symmetrical pattern. Below and to the right of these lights was a single light. The lights were similar in appearance to what you would see on an aircraft, but there were too many lights present for one aircraft. The lights appeared in sequence, remained visible for approximately 5 to 10 seconds, and disappeared. We pulled into a driveway to watch the sky, but saw no other lights.

Note: After numerous email exchanges with the witness I believe that these lights were flares associated with military exercises. However, I have no information that the military was conducting exercises at the time of the sighting.
