Yorktown is About 125 Miles South-Southeast of Washington, D.C.

Description: After crossing the Gloucester bridge into Yorktown I drove up Highway 17 toward Newport News. As I approached Ft Eustes Blvd I thought that I saw a helicopter up to my left. Looking closer I saw a triangular object with lights on each side. Behind it was a long boom like structure with a white ball at the end. The ball then dropped and when I looked back to he object, it was gone. There is an oil refinery near by and also NASA - Langley.

Note: The witness has described a triangular object which is commonly reported. However, the boom-like structure trailing the object is quite unusual and has never been reported before to UFOS Northwest. I have requested a sketch from the witness. Any new information will be posted.
