Date of Sighting: May 30, 2010
Time of Sighting: 10 PM CDT
Location of Sighting: Belleville, Illinois (See Map)

Description: I was driving east on Illinois highway 15. At about 1/2 mile from the 159 (Smithton) exit I commented to my passenger that there were some UFOs, jokingly. To my right, coming from the southeast were three amber lights at about a 30 degree angle to the horizon, spaced what seemed to be perfect distances from one another They were coming at a slow steady pace. I pulled over on the side of highway 15 right at the 159 exit and exited the car onto the left shoulder. I now realized that they were in fact nothing I had ever seen in the sky before. As they got closer to us, I now knew they were ufos and I prompted my friend to come to my open door at look, as i was dead serious that these were not planes or helicopters, or anything with FAA lights on them. It was a clear night (no clouds, stars were visible) and a bit hazy. As my passenger leaned out my door they were directly over the top of us at an estimated height of 1000 feet. There was absolutely no noise, or visible light once they were on top of us, and they moved at the same slow, but steady pace. There was no traffic buzzing by at that moment so I am positive there was no sound coming from them. They were so low that the lights from Belleville, Illinois illuminated the bottoms of all three craft. The objects were grayish in color (to the naked eye anyway) and were all three saucer shaped. I saw them perfectly, as they passed directly over our vehicle and watched them for approximately 30 seconds as the headed northwest over Belleville illuminated by the lights from the city. There was no light on what i would call the rear of the craft. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen, and I have a witness to prove it. I guess I would say that I am a believer now.

Note: The bright urban city lights allowed the witnesses to describe something in detail at night that normally would not be possible in a dark environment. Flying saucers have been reported over 60 years and are still a mystery. A sketch has been requested. Any updates will be posted.
