The witness reported her sighting about a day after it occurred. She was driving and noticed three equally space orange lights in the night sky. She first thought that they were stars, but realized that it was raining so stars would not be visible. She noticed that one of the lights streaked away to the side.
Note: The weather at nearby Sacramento showed that skies were cloudy with cloud bases at 3,500 feet and rain was falling.
