Family Sees Flaming Red-Orange Aerial Object Shaped Like Bullet

Location of Sighting: Happy Valley, Oregon (See Map)
Description: We saw rocket size, shaped like a bullet of flaming red-orange color. It moved slowly straight across the sky, fairly low maybe 50 feet above the tallest tree in our development. At one point it seemed to be at a stand still for about 20 seconds. Eventually it took off up in the sky and faded away. The experience total time was about one minute. My 3 children all saw it, along with a friend and another person that was in the hot tub at the time at our community recreation area. I just didn't know what it was. At first I thought maybe a plane was on fire, or hot air balloon, or something on fire from space. It was strange. We are looking for answers.
Note: The witnesses could have seen a meteor.
