Campers See Small Bright Light That Flew Crazy Patterns Very Fast
Lake Margaret is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California.
Date of Sighting: July 9 and 10, 2010
Time of Sighting: Approximately 10 PM PDT

Description: My 12 year old son and I His Dad (51 years old) were camping at a remote lake in the Sierra Nevada's (Lake Margaret). The first night my son said he saw an object flying and doing loops etc. and was a bright blue light. at approximately 10 o'clock in the evening. By the time I looked it was gone and I just said it was probably another camper shining a flashlight or some kind of firefly bug. BUT, the next night about the same time, we are laying in our sleeping bags looking up at the stars etc. He says LOOK there is the light! I looked over and I saw it and have absolutely no way to reason what I was seeing. It was a small bright light that looked like it came out of the forest area where no one was and flew crazy patterns very fast. It was about 100 feet up and 200 feet away from us it. The sighting lasted approximately 3 seconds. I would estimate its size to be 6 inches to maybe a foot. I am a skeptic for sure, but I can't explain this one away yet.
