About 30 Miles North of San Francisco.

Time of Sighting: 5:50 AM PST
Location of Sighting: On Highway 101 About 30 Miles North of San Francisco (See Map)
Description: I saw a bright object hovering then moving in south direction. It was not a star. It was very clear this morning and the object was east of 101 started in Marin to Oakland. One small craft appeared to emerge from the large one. It stayed so long at least 35 minutes. It would be in direct line of sight east of me then move in an instant directly south of me in line of sight straight ahead. I saw two airplanes with marker lights go toward, but had to look were I was driving so I did look away many times.
Note: The witness likely sighted Venus which was very bright to the east in the morning sky at the time of the sighting. The apparent "distortion" is due to time exposure as the photo was taken from a moving car. (The distortion of Venus would be due to camera movement. The distortion of the photo background would be due to a combination of camera movement and movement of the vehicle.)
