Description: I was taking photos in Morro Bay, California. When I returned home, I was looking through my shots and I noticed this. I did not see anything at the time. The photo was taken with a Nikon D-3000 with a 55-200 mm lens, around 11:15 AM, 11/9/2010. I included the original photo and a cropped version. Look to the upper left of the center bird's head. There was nothing higher than these birds. They were at the top of the tree and the object appears in the distance.
Note: I enlarged the object and increased the contrast and light in the enlargement. The object in the background was moving as can be seen from motion blur. The enlargement does not suggest that the object in the background is a bird or insect.
