Family Witnesses Multicolored Blinking Light Hovering in Night Sky

Date of Sighting: July 31, 2010
Time of Sighting: 2 to 2:30 AM EDT
Location of Sighting: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Description: The witness called while the sighting was in progress. I also spoke to his son and mother. His mother first noticed the object while outside having a cigarette. The mother called out to her son (36 years old). The grandson also witnessed the object. The object was mostly stationary, but exhibited some movement. The witnesses saw the object for 30 minutes. (It is not known if they lost sight of the object or quit watching it.)
Note: The sound on the above video is somewhat distorted. The witness was filming while he was on the phone with me reporting his sighting. A check of astronomical data shows that the planet Jupiter was in the exact position where the light was located. Therefore this sighting is quite likely of of the planet Jupiter.
