Date of Sighting: October 30, 2010
Time of Sighting: 1:25 PM EDT
Location of Sighting: Perth-Andover, New Brunswick (See Map)

Description: It has been a long time. What do you make of this object over the power lines outside of Perth-Andover New Brunswick? The photo was taken with my 8.1 Cyber-Shot. The object was only seen after downloading the photo to my computer.

Second Report by Witness (In Response to Investigator Questions): Here is the original photo, taken on the date stated. There was no wind. The photo was taken looking north. I wanted to send my son a picture of his grand parents' plow to the old tractor for old times sake. I was surprised to see this object when I downloaded the photo from the camera.

Additional Comments by Witness Submitted November 11, 2010: For the heck of it I was at the same place so I took snap shots of the same area of power line from the same distance as the photo you have posted. As you see its a calm day, not a cloud in the sky and warm. Nothing is near the power lines today. (See second photo above.) I even took a walk over to the area to see if something could be on the ground. Also it has to be realized that the object being a leaf is not possible because it is a fir tree area. I have other photos to send along when I can find them. These photos show what looks like a giant black hockey puck going over the top of the mountain on a clear day.

Note: Analysis indicates that the photo was edited by the photographer. However, it is not believed that the case is a hoax. The witness stated that there was no wind when the photo was taken. The lack of wind makes it quite unlikely that the object is any windblown debris.

Comments Received November 9, 2010: I suggest that you ask the witness if the wind was strong at the time she took the photo. It looks like it could be a twig with leaves that has just blown off or dropped from a tree. (See above witness response to the question of "wind.")
