The Sighting Occurred in the North Part of Phoenix.

Date of Sighting: October 23, 2010
Time of Sighting: 7:30 PM MST
Location of Sighting: Phoenix, Arizona

Description: I was at the park and looked up at the sky in the North to see something falling out of the sky with a large flaming trail. It fell for about 10 seconds and then disappeared. The flaming trail then reappeared far below where it had disappeared and continued to fall for 5 seconds. Then, it just stopped in the sky and a red and white orb pulsated for several minutes. Suddenly a second flaming trail appeared to the right of the glowing orb and traveled HORIZONTALLY toward the orb for about 10 seconds. It also stopped and turned into a pulsating white and red orb. The two orbs sat in the sky for a few minutes, and then slowly faded out into smaller bluish orbs. They could be faintly seen floating around each other until they were completely gone. About ten minutes later two orbs appeared in the West skies with the same pulsating lights very slowly moving away from each other. After five minutes they disappeared.

Update - October 25, 2010: Two photos (above) have been received of the lights in the above sighting. The photos were taken by another (independent witness). The witness's story follows:

No, I'm not the witness that sent you the original report. I found your link on the Fox 10 News site ( There was a gentleman (Vincenzo) who had commented about the incident and stated he had reported it on your website and he pasted your link in the comment section. I figured I would go on your site (really cool by the way) and post the pictures I got of the lights. I believe he states that he reported it on your site, but I'm not sure.

Let me give a report of what I saw that night. First, I live near 43rd Avenue and Union Hills Road in Glendale, AZ. I was sitting out back with my husband and friends when I saw what appeared to be a shooting star. So, of course I got excited and yelled: "look there's a shooting star" everyone turned around to look when all of a sudden the bright debris trail (usually on shooting stars) suddenly stopped as the object came to a stop. The object which was now a blue orb, then flew about a mile directly west at pretty high speed, turned and flew the opposite direction about the same distance when it's debris trail started back up. The object did a slight corkscrew movement and started heading towards the ground. While all this was happening my husband yelled "there's another one!" This object was to the east of the first one and moving in erratic behavior like the first. As these object's got closer the the surface they started to glow red and that is when I lost sight of them. I have to say I've never seen anything like it before.

I know the pictures aren't the best. We were rushing to get them, but I haven't seen any posted. So, I figured I would share what I got.

Thanks for your reply and interest. I am interested in finding out what these were.

Comments Received November 5, 2010: I also live in Phoenix Arizona. My husband and I both saw these lights on October 23, 2010 at 7:30 PM. I agree, I am a native from Arizona, and have never seen anything like that before! We don’t believe the Government saying it was testing. I have never seen a test like that before and the way the lights moved and blinked off and on.
