Sighting Reports 2010

15 to 20 Witness Erratic Moving Red Light Moving in & Out of Clouds

Date of Sighting: November 8, 2010
Time of Sighting: 6:20 to 8 PM MST
Location of Sighting: Phoenix, Arizona

Description: I was at work on Monday the 8th of November at the Bingo hall and some of the workers and customers came in and said there was a red light in the southwest sky. I went outside and looked to the southwest from our location and saw a red light flying back and forth in the sky. Some clouds where coming in from the south and the red light would be in front of the clouds and then be inside the clouds as they moved north. The red would change in brightness from faint to bright plus it would pulsate sometimes. It was moving back and forth from the right to the left and would it would reach where it wanted to go. It would just stop dead still and hover. There were planes flying over us from the airport as they would circle to the north and head east. One time a plane was headed for the red light, when all of a sudden the red light moved to the east very fast and moved away from where the plane was coming. After the plane flew by it returned to the area it was moving around in. Sometimes when it moved from one point to another there would be a quick trail of white light behind it, but not every time. I called one radio station, but the studio was in Mesa so the DJ could not see the red light. I also called TV15 and talked to a lady and she said they would check it out. At the end the light moved further to the west and left our field of sight. There were about 15 to 20 people who came out and saw red light also.

Note: A check of official weather records shows that several layers of clouds were present. The lowest layer was located at 8,000 feet. There were no bright planets in the area of the sky where witnesses saw the light.
