Photo Taken by Witness Right After Sighting
to Show Clear Sky Where Object Was Seen.

About 15 Miles East-Northeast of New York City.

Description: I was sitting on the side of my house looking up admiring the pretty blue sky with not a cloud in it. Then, flying from West to East, I saw an object that looked silvery and reflecting the sunlight. It was very far up in the sky and it looked like a linear jet-like object. I was thinking it was just a high flying aircraft. I kept looking, but then it suddenly started to fly in all directions at an extremely fast speed. Up, down, diagonal, side to side. Then it straightened out and pointed up and disappeared. I don't know any aircraft that can move like that at that speed! When I did some investigating online, I saw that around the week another person in my area saw something that he couldn't explain so I decided to add my story here. Also NOTE: The photo I posted was taken after the sighting, so there is nothing to see. I wanted you to see what the sky looked like.

Note: I don't know of any jet (or known aircraft) that could execute maneuvers described by the witness.

Comments Received September 13, 2010: My husband and I also saw this object. It truly was an outstanding day with clear visibility and a blue sky. I was observing some swallows darting about catching insects and noticed this high flying object moving very quickly with abrupt movements. It was between 2 and 3 PM. It came from the West. It moved too quickly for a plane or weather balloon. It changed direction twice (south and then north). It disappeared for a couple of minutes and then traveled back to the South. (The witness was located in Barboursville, West Virginia.)
