Sighting Reports 2010
Navy Vet Sees 2 Bright Lights Shut Off. Military Jets Pursued Lights.

Ridgecrest is About 100 Miles Northeast of Los Angeles.
Date of Sighting: March 1, 2010
Time of Sighting: 8 PM PST
Location of Sighting: Ridgecrest, California (See Map)
Description: The witness called and reported his sighting within about 30 minutes of his sighting. He was outside and noticed two bright lights moving slowly southeastward. The lights then abruptly shut off. The lights moved in a level path. The witness is a 10 year Navy Veteran and very familiar with Naval aircraft and exercises. He had been stationed at the China Lake Facility in the past. He said that the lights were not flares nor military aircraft. Within a short time the witness saw military aircraft fly into the area where the lights had disappeared. He was sure that these aircraft were not from China Lake because he would have heard them take off. He thought that the aircraft were probably from nearby Edwards Air Force Base (see map).
Note: I interviewed the witness for about 15 minutes. He came across as sincere, intelligent and very knowledgeable with respect to Navy aircraft and maneuvers. I have no reason to doubt his account.
