Erratic Moving Red Light Seen in Night Sky
Rocky Mount is in Central North Carolina
About 50 Miles East-Northeast of Raleigh.

Description: I went out with my 6 year old son to walk our dog at the field behind our house. The sky was clear and as usual I looked up at the stars and I saw a light. I first thought it was a star, but I realized that it was moving from south to north and I couldn't see any other lights around it and I heard no sound. We were staring at it for maybe 10 seconds and then it suddenly started moving towards the east and it was much faster. In a few seconds the light was disappearing. At the end all I saw was a reddish dot and then nothing. I have no idea how far this light was from me, but I am 100% sure it was not an airplane as I see those every night.
