Couple See Several Erratic Moving Aerial Lights. Photo Taken

Photo and Enlargements of Lights.
Photo and Enlargements of Lights.

Date of Sighting: January 25, 2010
Time of Sighting: 10:45 PM PST
Location of Sighting: San Bernardino, California (S. CA About 50 Miles E. of LA)

Description: I arrived at home at 10:45 PM. As I was walking north down my driveway looking up at the north sky I noticed a cluster of orange lights. The night was very clear. The lights were stationary for at least a good five minutes and then two of the lights that were side by side started moving towards each other as if they were going to collide into each other. As they got to the point of touching they just crossed and dropped down about a half inch in the sky and stayed in place for awhile. That is when I ran inside and told my wife. Then I got my camera and we came out and began to take pictures. As I was taking the pictures the lights were stationary and faded away slowly. I noticed in the background the lights of an airplane coming south bound towards LA (Los Angeles). You could tell clearly it was a plane with the white lights and the red flashing tail light. It flew underneath the top orange light at the upper left northwest part of the sky. The other two lights faded and were east of the airplane. As the plane passed to the south of me the lights in the sky illuminated again. At that point I took three other pictures and only one object stayed orange. When I printed one of the pictures, you could see in the sky the one orange object in the center just above my garage and two objects to the right which had appeared to be a black center with a white circular glow. There was one object northwest also the same as the other two.

Note: The photo was taken with a FUJIFILM A850 Digital Camera. This camera has a maximum resolution of 8.1 mega-pixels. The enlargement of the photo shows an orange light and two ring shaped white objects (lights?). Originally I only noticed the orange light, but the witness requested that I look at the photo again. The rings aren't visible until portions of the photo are enlarged. The photo appears to be the original photo as output from the camera. The high pixel resolution of the camera has permitted revealing finer details of the photo.
